The founder
Nicolás Paulson Aspiazu is a lawyer with more than 15 years of experience, whose management approach is based on five pillars: honesty, understanding, team management, applied creativity and problem-solving ability.
His work focuses on corporate, tax, and customs law, mergers and acquisitions, debt collection, and obtaining administrative approvals from various entities, with a particular emphasis on the fishing and aquaculture sectors. He also handles highly complex cases across various branches of law.
A graduate of the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil, his education is complemented by a Master's degree in Corporate Legal Advice from the Garrigues Center for Studies and an MBA from Cesma Business School. He also completed a course in Governing Family Enterprises at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
His career includes roles at the firms: Pareja & Asociados; and, Bjarner-Flores, where he developed innovative solutions for complex corporate, tax and M&A transactions.
In the public sector, he served as General Coordinator of Legal Counsel for the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, and Investment, with a strong focus on the aquaculture and fisheries sector, investment registration, and contracts between the government and private companies. In this role, he was responsible for drafting regulations and advising the Ministry's top officials. He also participated in international negotiations with countries such as the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and the European Union.
